Easy Follow the simple step-by-step guide below to learn how to measure your head for your new wig.
Step 1:
Pull hair up, away from the face, and secure with a headband or clip. If you have short hair, try wearing it back with a cloth headband.
Step 2:
Using a flexible measuring tape, wrap the tape around the back of your head, touching the base of your skull where the wig ends, and pull it forward just above your ears. Place the end of the tape in the middle of the front hairline. It measures the circumference of your head. Write down your measurements.
Step 3:
Let your hair down while your hair is up. Using a flexible measuring tape, place the end of the tape on the center of your forehead. Gently pull the tape measure down the center of your head until you reach your neck. Hold the tape measure firmly where it touches your neck, and check the measurement. This is the distance measured from front to back. Write down your measurements.
Step 4:
Measuring the forehead hairline is an important step in measuring the size of the head wig. Place the end of the measuring tape directly over one ear. Pull the tape across the hairline until it touches the other ear. Record investigation.
Step 5:
Using a flexible measuring tape, place the end of the tape directly over one ear. Pull it over the top of your head, grab the top of the other ear, hold the tape measure firmly over the ear, and check the measurement. This measures the distance from ear to ear. Write down your measurements.
Step 6:
This is an important measurement that is easy to overlook when you’re wondering how to measure a wig. To do this, place the end of the measuring tape on your temple next to your brow. Pull it straight back and wrap it around the back of your head until it reaches the other temple.
Step 7:
Finally measure the neck. This is where the bottom of the wig will land. To measure: Place the end of the measuring tape behind one ear, in line with the underside of the earlobe. Wrap the strap around the hairline or the base of the neck until it reaches just below the other ear. Record investigation.
